Bruin Beats: Enactus President Rachel Masterson

The Vision has teamed up with leaders from organizations across campus to bring you weekly Spotify playlists from students and staff.

For today’s installment, President of Belmont Enactus Rachel Masterson shared 10 of her favorite songs with the Vision.

I made this playlist with the thought: If I were to go for a long drive right now what songs would I listen to? I mostly picked songs I’ve really enjoyed this summer, but I bet if I were to make this list tomorrow it would be different.

That’s What I Like – Bruno Mars

Whenever I hear this song I automatically think of the Enactus National Competition our team competed in during May. Each time before we presented, the competition team would dance to this song and it was a super fun way to get some jitters out.

Pink Skies – LANY

I really like LANY’s vibe and this song just makes me think of summer.

Say You Won’t Let Go – James Arthur

The first time I heard this song I loved it (I’m a sucker for acoustic stuff).

Bad at Love – Halsey

I’m a big fan of all of Halsey’s music and how she uses her platform to stand up for the marginalized and bring light to important issues. This is one of the songs on Hopeless Fountain Kingdom I’ve been listening to a lot lately.

Waves – Dean Lewis

I recently heard this song on the Acoustic Chill Australia Spotify playlist (10/10 recommend) and immediately loved it.

Hard Times – Paramore

Paramore’s After Laughter is gold and even though this song has sad lyrics, you can’t help but dance.

Castle on the Hill – Ed Sheeran

I have aways loved Ed Sheeran’s music and this one always gets me a little nostalgic.

Wasted Youth – Fletcher

To me, this song is all about being true to yourself and enjoying the moment, which are two things I’ve always believed a lot in.

One Dance/Hasta El Amanecer Mashup – Alex Aiono

I discovered this song last summer when I was studying abroad in Spain and had it on repeat for a long time. The Drake mixed with some upbeat Spanish music will definitely put you in a good mood.

Something Beautiful – Needtobreathe

A go-to feel-good song.
