Office Concerts: Hannah Duff

Hannah Duff is a junior audio engineering major and music business minor from Springfield, Missouri.

She is inspired by a diverse group of artists including Wolf Alice, Lianne La Havas, Corinne Bailey Rae and Radiohead.

While Duff is an impressive performer herself, her long-term goal is to help others create their own music.

“I want to have my own music and want people to know what kind of music I like, but I really want to be a producer,” said Duff. “I love sounds. I am developing my own taste and understanding to help other people.”

In pursuit of this goal, Duff works as a studio assistant at renowned local studio, The Tracking Room, which boasts past clients including Carole King, Taylor Swift, Whitney Houston and more.

Duff was able to record her upcoming EP, Back to Sleep at The Tracking Room with Matt Lee helping with engineering and producing.

Duff will be releasing a single off of “Back to Sleep” titled “Let It Fall” this month and releasing the album later in the semester.

“I kind of want to be like Brian Eno,” said Duff. “I want to release super weird stuff but help people make pop music.”

For her performance, Duff performed “Let It Fall” and her title track, “Back to Sleep.”
