Eclectic in style but warm in spirit, Café Coco sits just off Elliston behind Exit/In. Coffee lovers or caffeine junkies in general will immediately appreciate Coco’s commitment to 24-hour service. When the lights in the Beaman go down and the all-nighters are just getting started, Coco is a logical alternative study spot that caters to the university crowd with a large menu of food and coffee beverages.

Specialty drinks of note include the Double Trouble (a 16 oz. double shot latte with rich mocha and creamy white chocolate for $4.00) or the Adrenaline Rush (a 16 oz. quadruple shot latte with caramel and creamy vanilla for $4.50). But if coffee is not your thing, their Italian Cream Sodas ($2.25) are a good option.

“The atmosphere is really conducive to conversations,” says owner Chuck Cinelli.

“There are no servers turning tables which makes you want to hang out longer than normal. The free WiFi enables you to study and if it gets too loud at night with the bands there’s always the [outdoor] back corner which is pretty quiet and has a nice breeze.”

Open mic nights, karaoke hopefuls, and local or touring bands perform in the back half of the complex almost every night which adds to the aura. Happy hours are from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. and then again from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. during which coffee is $1.00 and mochas are $2.00.
