Belmont Men’s Basketball Adds Samford Guard from Transfer Portal

Belmont men’s basketball has added its first transfer from the portal for next season.
Sophomore guard and Tennessee native Isaiah West announced that he’s committing to play for Belmont next season, according to a post from his X account.
He is transferring to Belmont from Samford after averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 14 starts for the Bulldogs last season.
West started his college career at Vanderbilt before transferring to Samford last season.
He will look to fill in for a Belmont team that has lost key contributors and starters to the transfer portal including guard Isaiah Walker and forward Jonathan Pierre.
