For the third time in its program’s history, Belmont men’s basketball will retire the jersey of a former player.Â
Belmont announced Wednesday that it will retire Ian Clark’s No. 21 jersey during halftime of the Bruins’ game against the University of Northern Iowa on Feb. 19.Â
Clark is the first Bruins player to have his jersey retired in 35 years, joining Robert Barnes and Joe Behling.Â
During Clark’s four years at Belmont, he became the program’s NCAA era career leader in points and 3-pointers.Â
Clark also led the Bruins to four consecutive regular season conference championships, three conference tournament championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.Â
After graduating from Belmont in 2013, Clark played in the NBA for six years, winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2017.Â
Clark now plays in Australia’s National Basketball League, where he won the 2022 NBL Championship as a member of the Sydney Kings and the 2024 Sixth Man of the Year as part of Melbourne United.  Â
