UPDATE: The Belmont Beltones won the wild card round and will be attending the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella national championship next weekend.
The Belmont Beltones may not be the oldest a capella group around, but they have quickly become one of the most notable.
The five-year-old group is now one step away from the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella’s national championships in New York City.
After placing first in the regional quarterfinals and second semifinals, the Beltones will find out Tuesday whether they will advance to the finals with a wild card bid. The group taped a live performance earlier this month which was submitted to a five-judge panel.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this story incorrectly gave the place of the Beltones in their regional quarterfinal.
