Junior Madison Bartley announced that she will be playing for Baylor University next season on Thursday night.
This decision comes after Bartley announced she would be entering the transfer portal on March 21.
The 6-foot-3 inch forward averaged 14.1 points and just over five rebounds on 51% shooting from the field this season for Belmont.
In her final game against Ball State, Bartley scored nine points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked a shot in 14 minutes as the Bruins were defeated 101-86.
In that game, she crossed the 1,000-point mark – making her the 34th player in Belmont history to do so.
Bartley earned First-Team All-MVC honors in her final season in the navy and red and will now look to carry that momentum to the Ferrell Center.
She heads to an established Bears program that has won three national championships and earned the top spot in the Big 12 Conference 24 times.
She will add some much-needed size and low post scoring to a Baylor team looking to improve off a 20-13 season that resulted in a second-round exit in the NCAA Tournament to the University of Connecticut.
“Sic ‘Em,” as they say in Waco, Texas, because Bartley is on her way.
