Looking polished and awake for class can be difficult with only a short amount of time to get ready. By using these simple steps to modify your makeup routine, you will achieve a more refreshed look and make it to class on time.
Step 1. Earn back those missed hours of sleep with a cream highlighter.
Unlike powder, a cream or liquid formula will appear natural, not cakey. Using two fingers, highlight the tops of your cheekbones and below your eyebrow bones to add radiance to your face. You can also apply highlighter before you put on foundation so the highlighter shines through your makeup creating a “lit from within” look.
Step 2. A pop of springtime color on the lips
Just in time for spring, bubblegum-pink lips will make you look overall more awake. Dab a lip stain or tint onto your lips. Lip stains are ideal for a long day of classes because you won’t have to keep applying. Finish with nude or light pink gloss.
Step 3. Hello, bright eyes.
Part A.
A pop of shimmery gold eye shadow gold flatters any skin tone and adds emphasis to your eyes. Use a small, flat brush or your finger to press gold shadow on the middle of your upper lash line. You can also use gold eyeliner as an alternative to shadow. A waterproof formula will slide on smoothly and stay in place all day.
Part B.
The second step to awakening your eyes: curl lashes. Curling your lashes will draw attention to your eyes and make you look more wide-eyed and alert. Metal lash curlers typically work better than plastic. You can curl your lashes before and after applying mascara.
Step 4. Finishing touches
What works even better than a cup of coffee to wake you up in the morning? An inner rim brightener on your waterlines instantly brightens and enhances your eyes. Since your eyes constantly accumulate tears, be sure to look for a waterproof formula that won’t budge or require reapplication. Matte beige or white eyeliner is a suitable substitute for inner rim brightener. Trace the brightener or eyeliner along both your upper and lower waterlines and into the corner of your tear duct.
Don’t miss out on looking good just because you missed a couple hours of sleep. Check out the product suggestions below to brighten up your mornings.
