Belmont freshman Kaden Eaton is used to success in cross country and he is hoping to continue that success in college.
“I had a really great high school team that I got my running career started with,” said Eaton. “It’s really helped me transfer over to running in college.”
Eaton was part of two state champion cross country teams in 2010 and 2011 while running for his high school in Columbus, Ind.
Eaton became interested in Belmont due to a combination of the atmosphere, religious affiliation and the cross country team.
“The size of the school and the fact that it was a Christian school were two major things,” said Eaton. “Plus, I knew the team was a bunch of great guys and Coach Langdon was really great.”
In his spare time, Eaton enjoys playing video games, but also said that he likes to hunt and fish.
In addition to running for Belmont’s cross country team, Eaton can also be seen running the 1600-meter and 3200-meter for the track team.
