Belmont University graduate student Nick Muszynski has one final opportunity to showcase his talent and represent the Bruins on the national stage.
The 6-foot-11 center, known as “Moose” among Belmont fans, has been selected to play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Reese’s Division 1 College All-Star game.
The game will take place in New Orleans on Friday, ahead of the NCAA Final Four over the weekend.
Muszynski will star for the West team, along with other top college basketball players in the country.
The Ohio-native enters the game as a highly decorated player, achieving an impressive career by holding down the low post for the Bruins.
Bursting onto the scene during his redshirt freshman season, Muszynski won Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year.
Also during that 2018-19 season, Muszynski helped the Bruins secure their first-ever NCAA Tournament win.
In 2020, Muszynski was named the OVC Tournament’s most valuable player.
Winning over 80% of his collegiate games, Muszynski has earned all-conference honors four times.
What’s more, he is also a three-time Lou Henson All-American.
The Bruins won three regular-season titles, secured two bids to the NCAA Tournament and recently played in the National Invitational Tournament.
Overall, Muszynski ranks third in the program’s all-time scoring behind Ian Clark and Evan Bradds, who was the Bruin’s most recent participant in the NABC All-Star game.
