“I went through a lot of different things in middle school, you know not fitting in and being understood. And when I heard the word “hope”, it resonated with me because even though bad things have happened to me, I always had hope that one-day things would work out and just get better. I have family behind me and a lot of support.
I guess I really knew I wanted one when I got involved with Girl Talk, which is a non-profit organization that helps middle school girls. Just through that and hearing different people’s stories about not fitting in, I just knew that I wanted something that kind of reminded me of how far I’ve come.”
