In February we featured musician Robert Gay as our Beat ‘n’ Track artist, so we thought we’d invite him to the office to play a few songs. Gay, a longtime Nashvillian, released his debut solo album When This Goes Bad in January.
He said it’s a love lost type of piece, and one that leans in a classic direction taking cues from folk, Americana and just a bit of the Jackson 5.
Check out his interview coupled with a performance of “Wait for the Sun” off the new album, plus “Over & Over” and “Better with You Than Without.”
Listening In: Through the month of March, When This Goes Bad is 50% off on BandCamp with code “BeatnTrack.”
